Model Pass 1
Exploring the Apache design but with twin rotors. Mixing of various designs to look a bit futuristic. Took around one whole day to get from blocking stage to this current progress. Going to spend another half day to finalize designs and adding model details.
Design concept
Based loosely on a variety of concepts/designs I found on the web. I'm trying not to fully based one design on this piece but still have mostly in common. Keeping it a hybrid of modern and possible futuristic design.

Vehicles | Fire Trucks & Ambulance

Real Heroes: Firefigter Vehicles
The traditional fire truck & Ambulance was made for the game Real Heroes: Fire Fighter. I made other variety of fire trucks from aerial to pumper engines. The "Titan Truck" was supposedly to be used in the now canceled sequel. It's a very powerful and durable truck to withstand logs along the road with that bumper. We're going for a more dirtied up and roughed up vehicles than clean looking one. I was playing around with Unreal3 to learn how to import my art to the engine.
When I tried importing it to Unreal 3 engine.. we only can dream using that nice engine :)

It took a lot of time to find good references and we had to take trips to the fire station which was a good experience. I'm not sure how long it took me to finish everything as there's a lot of reiteration and polish for each main vehicles. I feel its roughly a full week to uv map and fully texture them into a good state. Since its made for the Wii is that we had to scale back on texture size a bit which kinda loses the crisp details when you see it in the game.

Vehicles | Logger Truck

Real Heroes: Firefighter 2 Pre-production asset
A former colleague was teaching us different method creating textures or starting base like using ambient occlusion map. Just finding ways to create detailed map with very low poly. As you can see the one of the things we tried was to fake the roundness of the tire was to use planes with a little bit of offset in scale for the poly edges to be less noticeable from afar.

I was playing around importing it into Unreal 3 engine with normals on it.
